My Thoughts: 👀😃💬

- After going over everyone's blog page, I saw that you made a comment regarding one of my posts on the book "Oryx and Crake" by Margeret Atwood. So, I decided to focus on the idea of "mediocrity" that you propose. It was clear that Jimmy was as average as one could be, while not dropping below that level of commoness he experienced throughout his life. I believe that when it comes to the differences between him and Crake in terms of success, it heavily depended on their social interactions. In a way, it could have actually been possible for Jimmy to stand to Crake's level if he just brought his inner monologue to life and expressed it. Jimmy had a lot of potential, but if that was the case there would be no Oryx and Crake in the first place 🤣. However, throughout the story, it is clear that "Snowman" is changing for the seemingly "better." But at the expense of the world population, for such a change to happen, I don't know how to feel about that. In a way, I do respect Jimmy's averageness because it was the one thing that made him stand out being side by side with Crake.
